This one and that one!

I don't really know how this happened (And yes, I am ashamed of this) but somewhere along the line my husband and I started calling our daughters this one and that one. :D Just depends which one is closest to us. 'You take this one, I'll take that one', 'that one is having a melt down.' Or 'this one keeps grabbing EVERYTHING!'

I do giggle a little at that though. It feels like there isn't enough time and focus with two babies in lockdown and 3 hours of sleep and work and making food and cleaning and home school to still remember which one is which one. 😴 I really take my hat off to stay at home mommies with more than two kids!! I don't know how you do it! Well done!

'What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet'.

We use this to say that names don't really matter, that something is what it is not because of what it is called but by what it is named. Yes I do agree with this... But...

I believe the name you choose for your child bares a-lot. You speak that name over your child every time you say their name. They recognize themselves when they hear their name. If you call your child peace. You speak peace over them everytime you say their name. If you call your child beloved, you speak love over them everytime you say their name etc.

Just a thought!

Throughout the bible you'll read about people that had name changes, when God decided that the old is gone, were those people were made new. People with negative names got positive names.

All that said remember this: it's really cool to just be yourself! No matter what your parents named you... You do you!!!

Today you are you! That is truer than true! There is no one alive who is you-er than you! -Dr Seuss-
